On February 11, students from Carl Ma and Heather Duncan’s biology classes gathered in Old Dining Hall to hear a dynamic presentation from Dr. Phil Cleves, a scientist from Stanford’s the Carnegie Institution for Science. Cleves joined virtually to talk about his work with coral and CRISPR (a tool for editing genes) and his research on coral bleaching and climate change.
